From January 22nd to 23rd, the 15th China Charity Festival was held in Beijing. Gongjin Electronics and Shenzhen Tongwei Love Charity Foundation were invited to attend the event and were awarded the "15-Year Business Philanthropy Model Award", "15-Year Charity Special Tribute Award", and "2025 Education Charity Contribution Award". These awards not only recognize the foundation's 25 years of continuous commitment but also bear witness to Gongjin Electronics' long-term practice of integrating charity into its corporate development trajectory.
At the meeting, Long Xiaojing, the chairman of the foundation, shared the journey and insights of Tongwei Charity over the past 25 years. She mentioned that Tongwei Charity originated from the corporate mission of "giving back to society". The company's founder was deeply moved by the "big-eyed" girl Su Mingjuan in the photo "I Want to Study" taken by photojournalist Xie Hailong in 1991, and decided to carry out educational assistance for primary school students in the central and western regions. Since the donation to build the first Tongwei Hope Primary School in 2000, the foundation has built ten Hope Primary Schools in Guizhou, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, and Gansu provinces, gradually establishing a continuous care and assistance system covering multiple sectors such as the Flower Project, Gardener Project, and Smart Project.
Long Xiaojing elaborated on the sustained and healthy development of Tongwei Public Welfare, adhering to the "three adherences" concept: adhering to the deep integration of public welfare and the culture of progress, adhering to the synchronization of public welfare and development, and adhering to the resonance of public welfare with the needs of the times. She said that over the past eight years of participating in the Charity Festival, this platform has broadened the foundation's horizons, connected resources, and become a driving force for continuous self-motivation. In her memory, what was most touching was not the moment of awarding, but the curiosity and sparkle in the eyes of the children in the hope primary school when they first saw the outside world through the internet - "That sparkle made us feel that all our efforts were worthwhile."
Looking ahead, the foundation officially proposes a strategic layout of "One Vertical, One Horizontal, and One Brand": vertically, it will continue to deeply cultivate educational philanthropy, promoting the upgrading of projects from "aiding students" to "educating people"; horizontally, it will actively build a philanthropic ecosystem, leveraging multiple forces to expand services to areas such as empowering special groups; and it will actively explore how to operate the "Tongwei Philanthropy" brand, continuously enhancing transparency and professionalism through AI means, and consolidating the credibility of philanthropy.
Twenty-five years of Tongwei Public Welfare represents not only a moment of reflection but also a fresh start. The trophy engraves our journey, while the sparkle in the children's eyes illuminates the path ahead. The foundation will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with all sectors of society, using professionalism and warmth to build a better future together.
